K Sreeja, a student at Krishnaveni Talent School in Godavarikhani, developed a device at 15 to help the blind. With the help of her teachers, she created a motion sensor-based cap and walking stick that helps prevent the user from getting into accidents. She used an IR sensor, transmitter, relay circuits, and IC buzzers to design the equipment. The sensors can detect if there is an object in the person’s path and emits a signal so the person can navigate around the obstacle, avoiding an accident.
