A weed-cutter to seamlessly remove weeds and allow kids to play.

P Amrutha at age 14 saw the playground of Katurba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayam in Kamareddy District covered in weeds which prevented children from playing outside. Since weeds take time and effort to remove, Amrutha and her classmate, Himaja decided to construct a weed-cutter to make the weed-removal process easier and quicker. With the help of their teachers, they built he weed-cutter from the handles and wheel from recycled bicycle parts and a blade from the market to chop off the weeds. The children can now play outside again. The weed-cutter can be used in fields or kitchen-gardens. After seeing the success of her invention, people have asked Amrutha if she could build weed-cutters for them too.
